Athlete Development Framework
Our approach is informed by the core teachings of the Long-Term Athlete Development Model (LTAD), 3D Institute, and Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA). We are committed to improving the quality of the sport experience so ALL players can realize their full potential not just as an athlete, but as a complete person.
Each program level incorporates development phase appropriate instruction that is based on proven research. We use age as a guide for each phase but recognize that all players develop physically and mentally at different rates.
The following framework is built around the understanding that lacrosse is considered a late specialization, early engagement, and visual sport.

*This is a critical stage for athletes as they start to mature and face more complex physical and mental challenges. Maintaining body alignment and flexibility, as well as capitalizing on accelerated adaptation periods for aerobic, speed, and strength are key. Coaches, leaders, and parents must also take a more active role guiding athletes through more challenging social dynamics on and off the field.
